Sunrise Fixation

V1: The rain beats a fierce retreat
    On the roof of my car
    And the dark clouds share the wheel
    As I drive along
    Sometimes I say things that I don't mean
    If I said that I was sorry
    Would you come back to me?

C:  I'm looking for some place
    Some place that's not home
    And if I see that look in your eyes again
    Oo, I'd rather die!
    I'll drive straight west for days now
    Towards the rising sun
    And if I only find more rainclouds
    I won't stop 'til my journey's done

V2: In this dark storm
    My thoughts find a home
    "I could get pretty far before morning comes
    And it'd be nice to be somewhere I'm not known."
    Should I go on or turn around?
    I thought I was at rock-bottom
    'til I hit the ground!
