Wand Type/Familiar Type: His wand is a 10 and a half inch Oak wand with a feather from a Dragon of China. His Familiar is a gray Tabby named Tobias.

Physical Description: Tall and lithe, his brooding demeanor and dower expressions tend to push any wishing to be friendly away. His height and general appearance lead many to believe he is much older than he really is, as he does not necessarily age like normal people. Besides his strange eye color, his ears are noticeably tapered at the tips, betraying his dominant Fairy blood. His clothing is always immaculately kept and he is always neatly presented.

Personality: Cold as ice and twice as quiet best describes this young man. In his life he has learned to be wary of Humans and it shows. Besides professors, few students can get more than a few words out of him at any given time. And he seems to harbor ill feelings towards those of House Slytherin, though no one is sure why. He uses his skill with talismans of illusion and hiding to keep himself away from the rest of the students, and it concerns more than a few of the professors who feel that he is unnecessarily solitary. When not in class he can be found either in the Library or his room. Because of a mishap in his first year, Cassiel does not have a roommate. However, inexplicably, he has a tendency to show up in the nick of time to help out students in danger, regardless of house.

Other Notes: Because of his Fairy blood, Cassiel has a knack for being in the right place at the right time, he also has an uncanny memory and can remember all the way back to his first year of life. Unfortunately because of that same blood, Cassiel is susceptible to many of the traditional wards used against Fairies. Someone who touches Cassiel after throwing spilled salt over their shoulder will cause Cassiel to burn and blister, or anyone wearing a four leaf clover will force Cassiel to flee and so on. Cassiel is also always surrounded by strange spiced scents which comes from a pipe which he frequently smokes, as all Fairies do. However this practice, no matter how ingrained, is frowned upon and his pipe is frequently taken away. Though it always manages to end up back in his possession.

Short Personal Background: Trevor Gallantry was an anthropology professor at Cambridge, when he took a trip to Ireland to examine some strange rock formations and their possible cultural value. As he was examining the stones he happened across a beautiful young maiden named Siobhan and fell instantly in love. Luckily for Trevor, she returned his affection and they were married within a year. Two years later, Cassiel was born, and upon his birth Siobhan�s true nature was revealed to her husband, who took the news in stride, all things considered. For three years they all were very happy. Then one day news reached Siobhan that the Glen, where she served as a Knight, was in danger. Reluctantly she left her family to go and fight to protect her home. Three months after she left, Trevor was killed while on his way home from a day of classes. As he was crossing the street a car came from nowhere and ran him down. Cassiel was then shuttled around to various Muggle foster homes until one day a man appeared claiming to be a distant relative of his father�s. The moment Cassiel saw him, he felt sick to his stomach and afraid. That very night, Cassie ran away from home. He was only six years old. He survived on the streets for a year before his mother finally found him.

During the siege on her home Glade, Siobhan had suffered a grievous injury that took some months to heal. Once she finally recuperated she found that her husband and son had vanished while she was away. Distraught she had called upon the aide of friends of hers, who were on the staff of Hogwarts, to help her find her missing family. She learned of Trevor�s tragic demise and her son�s predicament. She did not rest until she found Cassiel. Then, thanks to powerful spells and a mother�s love, she finally was reunited with her son. They were both overjoyed to see one another and Siobhan took the boy back with her to the Glade. They lived there for some years until the letter arrived announcing his acceptance to Hogwarts. Despite the honor, Cassie did not want to go. His time in foster homes and on the streets made him distrustful of humans. But, as the Glade had lost some of their most powerful wizards during the fight against the invaders, Cassiel felt obligated to go and learn the magical arts so he could take the place of a fallen sorcerer.

It is now Cassiel�s third year. His talent and ability are unmistakable. He continues to excel in his studies and works tirelessly. However, he has no friends, except Tobias, he rarely speaks to anyone and is terribly, terribly lonely.
