Sanctuary is within a Medieval Setting:
This means that it is limited to Medieval standards of, equipment, items, philosophy, music, art, mathematics, clothing, ect.. Those wishing to roleplay within this realm are encouraged to select a character that can most readily fit in and incorperate themselves within such an enviroment, we suggest coming into the room and observing for a time, until you feel comfortable to begin.

Sanctuary is also a Realm of Magic:
This means it is a room that accepts all types of magics within reason. The magic abilities and the spells cast are left to the imagination and the creation of the player. The spells can be based upon or inspired by any other base such as D&D, AD&D, WhiteWolf, ect and not limited to just such but again.. these spells must be merely inspired by such not the actual spells themselves. Description determines everything within A FreeForm realm for such to be effective one must be able to understand the spell being cast.

Sanctuary is in essence a Realm of Theme: Encompassing all elements of roleplay Realm of Magic/Medieval/Fantasy players of all levels of experience from novice to newbie to die hard are welcome here. and because of such you are expected to describe items, spells, weapons, ect.. in a way that a person unfamiliar with such things can understand. Here you are expected to use your wits, your imagination, creativity and description to etch your characters roleplay into the fabric of this world.. But all in all the roleplay is open to the extent of FreeForm save for these such guidelines..and the enforcers of such..

IGNORANCE OF THESE RULES IS NO EXCUSE

* Concerning OOC:
Lets keep OOC to a minimum, we all get carried away from time to time but we dont want to start disrupting the flow of roleplay. Should a room member speak up and inform you to quiet it down, best to take it to pm.

* Concerning Avatars:
The easiest way to put it, if its porn its not going to work. Lets face it we are all adults, tasteful nudity is not going to offend anyone here, but full on, porn and or sexually suggestive positions arent welcome.

* Concerning Kill Zones:
This is a Member only Kill Zone: Put it simply, you can only kill in this room, if you are a full member. We arent here to be cannon fodder to just anyone that pops in looking to cause trouble. We are here to have fun.

* Concerning Major Roleplays:
Player roleplays within Sanctuary: If you have a roleplay with which you wish to include those of Sanctuary that will directly or indirectly have an influence on the roleplay of others involved with the said roleplay or not make sure that you run it past the senior members of the room before setting it in action and wait for them to express that the roleplay will be accepted so it is not considered void.. as freeform dictates a natural sense of selfdestructive tendancies.. this is a must.

* Concerning God Like Characters:
SUPER powerful god-type characters are strictly forbidden: If your character has an outstanding strength they should also have an outstanding weakness. You are not here to prove how awesome your character is - You are here to interact with other characters in order to weave an intriguing story.

* Concerning Children Roleplay:
Such is only available through requesting in writing to the Room Controller, with valid reasons. Children can very well play a part within the roleplay circle, but with the problems it can cause it is understood why we are cautious on who we allow to play them.

* Concerning Forced Roleplay:
No one can be physically forced into a roleplay. if the roleplay within the room is not to your liking keep your character from interacting within it and there will be no arguements.

* Concerning Raid/ Ownership Roleplay:
Any roleplay aimed at taking over ownership/control of Sanctuary is unacceptable and immediatley considered null and void.

* Concerning Cybering:
We are all adults here, This is an adult room. Cybering, sexual scening and roleplay are welcome in the open room.

Remember these rules and your experience within will be that much more enjoyable..

If any of these rules are not to your liking then perhaps Sanctuary is not the Roleplay Room for you. Any conflicts with them within your mind or you are confused by any then make sure you have them cleared up by asking a senior member before you begin roleplaying within.
