You might be asking yourself, "Why didn't you buy new plugs and points?"

The answer is, I did. But they were bought as part of the "Engine Start and Run" service I got at Dana Marine. What happened was they were put in as part of the diagnostics for my engine and after the estimate from hell for $1,100.00 to complete the rest of the work, the mechanic just let those parts be a part of the original $100 or so that was charged for the service.

I'll figure out what part numbers those were for those who need that info and include that here a bit later.

The next two parts I bought from Warner Marine in Costa Mesa.

This is the last time I buy from them, because they closed early on me and made me take two trips down there, not to mention the guy who closed up the gate was very rude.

Fuel Pump Diaphragm Kit

Mercury part number 49089A1

Little did I know that included in this kit is the inline fuel filter I ordered above. Oh well, for those of you who want to buy this kit, you won't have to buy an additional filter. But it doesn't come with one of the gaskets, you'd think it would have. I'll look that one's number up and let you know what it is.

Price $32.50

Fuel Vent Tube/Hose

Mercury Part number 32-73815-67

This is a clear yellowish fuel line. This is supposed to run from the carb overflows back to the fuel pump.

Price $15.75
