Tenderloin
OIl on Canvas20 x 36
Painted in 1997 the tenderloin was a section of San Francisco where the epitome of street living took place. It was a very tough area and you had to be "wise"
if you were going to survive. In the city when you are down in the streets that's where you will stay. Beleive it or not it is the youth that come to prey.

I wanted to paint more in the styles of my brother and father instead of meticulously
pushing paint stokes to the point of perfection. Their works are bold and executed with out hesitation. At this time in my life I tossed my brushes to the floor and started painting with knives. One stroke... then move ON!
