I.                   Call to Order:

Meeting was called to order at 2:40

II.                Approval of Minutes:

Lorrie Christi made a motion to approve the minutes as posted on the CCAE website.  The motion was seconded by Janice Roselius

III.             Treasurer’s Report:

Checking Account: $3,620.34

Savings Account:                $3,256.23

We made a $157 profit on the See’s suckers.  It was reported that we have 2 ½ cases of suckers left to sell.  Glenda suggested that we put red ribbon on the suckers to sell for Valentine’s Day.  All Christmas candy was sold.  The candy cost $568.65 and Fran deposited $1000.

IV.              Committee Reports:

(a) Mary Fitzgerald is planning a Friday the 13th theme party for March 13th.  Details will be announced soon.

(b) Annette Beck and Fran reported that we could call in an order for Valentine candy and we will receive it in 2 or 3 days.  We will have 2 full weeks to sell.  We don’t know if we want to order more candy since we didn’t get enough support selling Christmas candy.  We don’t need to sell Valentine candy because we have made enough money and we still have the rummage sale and the book fair.  It was decided that we will not sell Valentine candy.  For now, we will just sell the rest of the suckers we have left.

(c) Karen Castille reported that last months GED award went to Christine Sanchez.  No requests were turned in from ESL or night students.  Awards were given every month from September to December.  All teachers have been given the information on this award.  Janice requested that a copy of the GED award information be given to all teachers again.

The FYI reported that Professional growth hours are not needed.  Teresa Loftis commented that she renewed her credential and she was not required to report growth hours.  Janice Roselius said that she had received an email from CTC stating that no growth hours are required because the State will not track them.  Our district is not requiring us to turn in growth hours either, but it is best to keep your own records.

(c) No monthly award nominations were turned in for this month.  The CCAE vice president, treasurer, president elect, and secretary positions are open.  Lorrie, Heck, and Fran have volunteered to be part of the nominating committee.

V.                 Old Business:

Heck Thomas presented a check for $1,310 from the book fair.  We are planning another book fair for March, if we get bonus points.  It will probably take place during the WASC visit.

VI.              New Business:

A rummage sale is in the plans to be scheduled around CCAE activities.  Saturday, June 2nd is a possible date for the rummage sale.

Nikki Amaro was the opportunity drawing winner.

Submitted:   Nikki Amaro for Carmen Zapata
