This is a *very* small introduction to the 315 kids. Those whose pictures I could find on the web, that is...
![]() Gregg Yeti of the Flashing Astonishers. People say they are the biggest joke in the Syracuse music scene. I thought they were okay and Gregg is an awfully nice guy. Always smiling. I used to call him "Will" because he has that tattooed across his knuckles. He didn't like that too much. |
![]() Belvy in some church somewhere. Belvy's a funny guy, but he always means well. I'd consider him a friend. His band, Libertine is on the Syracuse Hardcore comp, though, and they're really not a hardcore band. He didn't talk to me once because I was wearing a Santa Sangre shirt. I thought that was funny. |
![]() Al, Button, Joey, and Steve Gortner. Joey was supposed to hook me up with Al. Never happened. I actually never met Button, but Joey is a good friend of mine and Gortner is very cool. He drove me to the bus station the day after my graduation party. And that was after Buck and I inadvertantly locked him out of Joey's house the night before. |
![]() Joey, well, looking a lot like Joey. |
![]() I love Grant Johnson! His band is much more hardcore than Libertine and I have to say, I like Spark Lights the Friction much better as well. Grant is so cute too. I don't know why, but I am very attracted to him. I think it is because he is so intelligent, witty, and honest. |
![]() Another pic of Grant. Did I mention how much I adore this boy? He's fucking great. Very good taste in music too. And literature. He's standing with Gee Eye Joel. I think I know who he is. I talked to him online one day when I was desperate and resorted to the sketchy "I'm-IMing-you-when-I-don't-know-who-you-are...please-go-to-a-hardcore-show-with-me-I-don't-know-the-kids-here". It was a sad moment in my life, but he was very nice about it. |
![]() This is my friend Kenny, the guitarist in Godbelow. He used to be in a death metal band and can play guitar riffs faster than anyone I know. Kenny's awesome. He's a late 20-something year old guy stuck in a fifteen year old body. |
![]() Kenny is also absolutely adorable. Look at him, he's so tough but at the same time so cute. Maybe it's the "boyish charm." |
![]() Well, this is more like the way I know them, just dicking around and having a good time. (left to right: Joe, Danny, Slider, Kris, Chuck, and Kenny) |
![]() My Bobby, otherwise known as "Silent Bob" on the radio station. He usually has a lot to say, though. Although he isn't very conversational in emails ;) I don't know exactly how long I have known Bobby, but it feels like forever. Bobby's a good man. |
![]() Chuck, the big guy with dreds in the audience screaming, is one of the coolest kids ever. He's shockingly honest and absoultely hysterical. He used to work at Borders and he made a display for the "Songs of Columbine" right after the shooting with Marilyn Manson, SLayer, etc on there. He wrote "I lick boobs" across my knuckes one night in permenant marker. To some other girl, he drew a giant dick on her arm and lied and told her it was a flower. She was drunk so she didn't know the difference. She walked around downtown with a big hairy dick "tattooed" on her arm. I just can't say enough about Chuck. |
![]() Eric G., just as commonly known as Eric and Panda. Eric and I grew up together since our parents are close friends. Eric is one of my really close friends. When I am home we don't hang out all the time, mostly because our scehules are always so conflicting, but we are still very close. He's such a cute boy, look at him! ...Oh yeah, he's the one off to the left :) He has a band called Straighter Than Pete. No, I guess no one told them ska was dead. It'a okay, though. They're actually pretty good. |
