Well, the time has come. The Santa Sangre Weekend. This would promise to rival the Donnie Ballgame Weekend if only there wasn't so much bus time involved. No bother, though. It will be amazing to see Santa Sangre two days in a row. How insane is that?
Plans
Bus departs Boston to go to Winston Salem, NC at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Arrive in Winston Salem, NC at 12:55 p.m. Saturday. I should be there just in time to watch the first bands.
Go SW on Greyhoung CT towards Linden St. NE by turning left.
Turn right onto Linden ST. NE
Turn left onto E 3rd St.
Turn right onto N. Main Street
Turn left onto W. 5th Street.
Santa Sangre plays at 9:15 p.m. I need to catch an 11 p.m. bus. Pretty.
11:00 p.m. catch the bus to Newark, NJ.
Get into Newark, NJ at 12:10 p.m.
Walk/Run/Skip to South Amboy, NJ (@ 24 miles)
I figure it will take me roughly 10 minutes/mile so that leaves me with four hours walking and I will get to South Amboy about 12:45 p.m. or so.
Watch the show. Should be a good one. This Day Forward and Santa Sangre on the same stage, pretty sweet if you ask me.
If I don't feel like walking, there is also a bus that leaves Penn Station at 12:52 p.m. and gets into South Amboy at 1:29 p.m.
Take Bordentown Ave. away from Broadway
Bordentown Ave. runs into Rte. 615.
Follow past S. Pine St.
Make a right onto Parker St.
Left onto Portia St.
Left onto Rte. 35
Show goes on when it does. Hopefully Santa Sangre (and ideally, This Day Forward as well) plays before 8:25 p.m.
At 8:25 p.m. I catch the bus to Newark again. Get to the Newark bus station at 9:00 p.m.
Bus to Boston leaves at 9:50 p.m.
I get back to Boston at 4:00 a.m.
