My first chopper build, it's a good thing I've got a lot of spare time and a spare bedroom! |

When I bought this bike off ebay i was told it was a 1965 BSA 500cc twin. However after getting it home and looking up the numbers on the bike, I found out the engine is actually a 1968 BSA Thunderbolt 650cc twin. Hopefully all my suprises are going to be so good. I've got some work to do on it, I have to find a new front tire and rim as this one only has a drum brake and very rusty spokes, and although there is a mounting point for a caliper, there's no mounting points for a fender on the springer. It's anyones guess as to what it'll look like when it's done, but it should be a fun winter. |
