The Samuel's Church women's group is known as L.I.F.T. (Ladies in Fellowship Together). The group began in the early eighties when some women met to paint the nursery, exercise, and undertake different service projects. Today, it is a service-oriented group that meets to encourage and fellowship with each other. Each meeting begins with devotions and prayer for their children and families, the schools, the teachers, and the church. Afterward they do an activity, such as making a craft, visiting shut-ins, making banners, painting rooms in the church, or planning for special events like banquets or Vacation Bible School. At present, the group meets twice a month on the second and fourth Tuesday mornings. |
