K.I.C.S

K.I.C.S. (Kids In Christ's Service) youth group attendance is approximately 70 to 80, with 29 adult leaders, teachers and helpers. Meetings are held on the second and fourth Sundays of each month throughout the school year and run from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Each meeting begins with a greeting and prayer and then is followed by lively singing. Then the youth are dismissed to their classes for their memory verse time, the Bible lesson, and a closing game or other fun activity. The meetings move quickly and everyone has lots of fun.

While we work hard to make the meetings fun, our primary goal has always been to teach children about Jesus Christ and His love for them. We are thankful that God has spread the program beyond the youth from our church to include many youth from the surrounding community. In 1996 it was decided to call the youth program K.I.C.S.. Over the years, each child has been given a T shirt with the K.I.C.S. logo on it to wear in the community as a testimony to Jesus Christ and a promotion for the youth program. As a result, friends have invited friends over the years, and many new families today call Samuel's Church their home church because of their children's involvement in the youth program.
