"Ace of Spades"
The brothers of Sigma Pi International have decided to participate in the Ace of Spades campaign, making it a nation wide concept amoung all our chapters and colonies.  The big kick off of our involvement will be SAM Spady Week.  Below is an article from the Coloradoan Newspaper on the creation and development of the Ace of Spades Campaign.  We believe that this campaign will help reach students across the country and save many lives in the future.
Please remember that alcohol poisoning is not a joke and can take the life of a loved one.  This check list will come in handy at any party, or any occasion where alcohol is present, and is kept easily in your wallet or purse because of it's small yet effective design.  Take a moment to read this article and do research of your own to find out how you can be involved and help save the life of another.
For information on how you can obtain one of these cards, or if you would like to help on this campaign, please email David at

"The Ace of Spades" campaign, created by former members of the now dissolved Sigma Pi Fraternity (of Colorado State University), will pass out cards to students with warning signs of alcohol poisoning along with a checklist of what to do.
The campaign is sponsored by the Sam Spady Foundation in memory of the 19-year-old who was found dead inside the fraternity house after an 11-hour drinking spree. ...
The flip side of the card reads: "In memory of Samantha Spady and all students lost to alcohol-related deaths in Colorado.  I pledge to take care of myself and others."
"We need to target the general student," said CSU student body President Katie Clausen.  "It can't just be action by administrators.  Students need to talk to students."
"...student-to-student interactions are what is going to shift the norms," (Anne) Hudgens said.  (CSU's Executive Director of Campus Life). ...
Student involvement in educational campaigns and willingness by the student body to accept recommendations of the task force are essential to changing campus culture regarding alcohol use, said CSU student Chris Warwick.   "We need to crack down on it," he said.  "Some people think that the task force is trying to take away our fun.  They are trying to save lives."
