Housing
All animals will be housed in a set up according to the species and animals needs and will provide the correct heating and lighting.
You can bring your own set up if you prefer particularly in the case of frogs, spiders and insects.
Feeding
All animals will be fed a diet suitable to their specific needs and where apllicable vitamin supplement will be added.
Live foods are purchased daily and include: crickets, locusts, mealworms and waxworms.
Frozen foods are purchased weekly and include: various sizes of mice, rats, rabbits and occasionally adult quails.
Fruit and vegetables are purchased every other day from a local merchant to ensure freshness and include: kale, spring greens, rocket, pak choi, chinese leaf, lambs lettuce, herb mix, chard, watercress, parsley and pea shoots.
The following are grated or chopped: carrot, parsnip, sweet potato, peppers and courgette. Fruit such as mango, pear, meon, apple, plum is offered twice weekly when appropriate.
Where possible Tortoises have weeds incorporated into their diet and a dust free sweet meadow hay is used for African species.
Water is changed daily and misting will be done on a need basis dependant on species.
Cleaning
All vivariums are cleaned and sterillised weekly and spot checked daily.
We will require various information before you leave your animal in our care. i.e. Name, address and contact details plus any dietry or special needs your animal may require.
In the event if sickness we will contact you or seek advice from a qualified exotics specialist vet and any costs incurred will be charged to you on your return. The animals welfare is always our prime concern.
