What affects how fast the milk moves?

What you need:

Dish

Milk (varying types)

Food colouring

Dish detergent

Eye dropper

What you do:

• Pour about 1cm of milk into the dish so that the bottom of the dish is well covered.
• Place one drop of 4 different colours of food colouring (try red, green, yellow, and blue) on top of the milk in different places.
• Add a drop of dish detergent to the middle of each drop of food colouring.

What is happening? Why is this happening?

• Repeat the above activity using a different type of milk, for example, non fat, full cream etc.
