Sampson Suds Extras Special Bitter (ESB) is truly a beer drinkers beer. Bitter is a British term for a type of beer or pale ale. The expression first appeared in the UK in the early 19th century as part of the development and spread of pale ale.

It is thought that customers used the term bitter to differentiate certain pale ales from other less noticeably hopped beers such as porter and mild.

Sampsons ESB is hand brewed in 5 gallon batches using only the freshest 100% all natural ingredients. It is distinguishable by its dark rich copper color and hearty carbonation which provides the beer with a robust head. At 5.2% ABV a well balanced bitter taste with a smooth clean finish is the key to making Sampsons ESB a true beer drinkers beer.
