Files and info will be available for the following Akai
models:

S1000/S1100
--I use an S1100. It's basically an S1000, but with hard-
disk recording, a SMPTE reader/generator, and a
digital output. It's an older sampler that was introduced in1990. The success of the S1000/S1100 was so great
that all sampler manufacturers (Emu, Roland, Kurzweil, etc.) added support for the Akai S1000/S1100 format to
thier samplers. Because of this, the  S1000/S1100 is excellent    for creating cross-platform  samples, which is exactly what I use it for.

S2000/S3000XL/S3200XL
--I use the S2000 model in this family. All of the models
in this family use the same sampler engine. The S3200XL
is the grand-daddy of this group with 16MB standard,
AES/EBU digital I/O, SMPTE reader/generator, multi-
effects, added filters, and hard-disk recording. The
S3000XL and S2000 have less included but can be
upgraded to the S3200XL's specs--except the interface.
