Oleg Spivak and Yuriy Dzhygyr were two first bravehearts who ventured to come and see me in Yugoslavia in May 2002:) After a quick introduction to Belgrade caffes and nightlife, we headed south-west - to Montenegro
This is page is an advert for all my friend to come and see me and beatiful places in Yugoslavia!:))
It all started in Belgrade... Federal Parliament of old Yugsolavia - country that no longer exitst...
It's only 100km from Belgrade but hills slowly start to grow into mountains
beautiful mountain river that flows along the road to Podgorica
Somewhere close to Podgorica - the road goes along the deep canyon
Finally arrived. We stay close next door to Sveti Stefan - the pearl of Adriatic...in 70 and 80-s this was the most upscale resorts at the whole Adriatic full of celebrities form all around Europe
Town Budva next to Sveti Stefan - this is a Montenegrin hotspot in the summer time. But it's still very early in the season and the place is not crowded with tourists
Ancient Budva, the old trading post on Adriatic did not change much since medival times
Budva Bay - two new fotomodel careers have been born:)
Kotor Bay - the higher you clim the better the view gets...
We are on the way to Kotor - next little town-fortress on the coast
13th century old Byzantian church in the centre of Kotor
The small road leads up to the top of the mountain where another small fortress stands to oversee the town and bay...we could not resist the temptation to climb there
Nothing better than palm to hide form the rain...
Birds view of Kotor - another small town on Montenegro coast. The old town is encircled with a fortress wall which protected it from Turks and other conquerors all thropugh the history
before the climb...
We go deeper in into "continental" Montenegro- Ostrog Monastery - curved in a solid rock and hidden in the middle of mountain range not to be found by Turks. The car road goes all the way to the monastery...it's ok, you just should not look down...
Two tired but happy travellers have returned to my Belgrade place - they still have two more days in Serbia and dreaming of meeting with Belgrade girls...:)
