| A small kennel,nestled in the Laurentian foothills,just north of Montreal,registered under the prefix of Samovar Kennel(perm.reg'd) in 1973 but having Samoyeds since 1967 with the acquisition of 'Tina" who later became my first Champion,Can.Am.Bda.Ch. Karatina Can.CDX. Can.Am.Bda CD. a multiple Group winner in her days.Usually not more than 7 dogs reside here and produce 1 litter every year or so. Striving for beauty and companionship foremost,Samovar has produced to date over 50 Canadian Champions,8 Bermuda Champions ,12 American Champions and of these dogs 6 have the honour of being Canadian, American, Bermudian Champions.Best in Show and Best in Speciality Show winners have had the Samovar name notably BIS.BISS.Can.Am.Bda.Ch.Samovar's Chinook Winds and BIS.Can.Am.Bda.Ch.Samovar's True Grit ROMC both of whom have had the honour of being Canada's Top winning #1 Samoyeds in their days. All breeding's are well thought out to improve the breed and only dogs and bitches which are x-rayed clear thru OVC or OFA and are certified clear (CERF) for hereditary eye problems are used in my breeding program. My dogs are foremost housedogs and all rotate regularly into the house.They do not sleep outside in winter and enjoy the couch like any other pet.The Samoyed is a very social breed and does not like to be far from it's master(mistress) |
