As
Samohi Athletes you are obligated to conduct yourselves according to the rules
and regulations that are explicitly stated in your Samohi Student Handbook, the
CIF Code of Conduct, and/or any local, state or federal laws that may apply.
The coach reserves the right to level the punishment that he/she believes
appropriate on top of any school or law enforcement action.
In
this light it must be pointed out that any and all drug/alcohol/tobacco use is
prohibited by law. If a player is caught using these substances, or with any
paraphernalia, they will be dismissed from the team. PARENTS: If you are
concerned about your player and drug use please get in contact with Coach
Flanders. Together we can devise strategies to keep your player off drugs.
Please
refer to order form on the website.
Each
swimmer will be assigned his own locker in the team room. He must buy a
Samohi lock from Vike’s Inn. ALL OTHER LOCKS WILL BE CUT OFF AND ITEMS DONATED.
Do not leave personal property outside of your locked locker. The school and
team will not replace your stolen items. It is highly recommended that you have
the following items in your locker:
1.
Soap
2.
Towel
(take it home once a week to be washed)
3.
Suit
4.
Goggles
5.
Shampoo
6.
Lotion
The
soap, shampoo and lotion are essential because without a good shower and
moisturizing right after practice you will get painful rashes from our
pool, the water condition is always bad. If you ever have concerns about the
condition of the facilities please feel free to contact Mr. Greg Runyon at Samohi. He is the AP in charge of
facilities.
