Wedding Pictures!!

First a bit of background - my hair appointment was only supposed to take an hour that morning, and it took two. We lost the floating candles, so we had to find more, and we had to get a rose in memory of my father. This may not sound like much, but the hair appointment messed the whole schedule up so after we were FINALLY done at the salon, I was running into stores with my veil on at an hour and 15 before the ceremony was to start.

We finally got everything we needed and headed to Greencastle, where the ceremony took place. I was running around crazy trying to get ready. At one point I noted that I didn't have on any deodorant, and my best friend and maid of honor Chai, came to my rescue telling me to put my arms up. That's a TRUE friend! So, as everyone is running crazy trying to get make-up'd, flowered, and dressed, I'm a nervous wreck. I was almost late for my OWN wedding!!

Everything went pretty smoothly after that, thanks is great part to my mother Debi, John's mother Debbie, Chai, Kim, and a wonderful B.J. B.J. went straight to the reception hall after the wedding missing the bubbles and congrats so she could set up the cake, blow up balloons, and get the floating candles into the centerpeices before everyone started to arrive.

Our pictures ended up taking quite a while, but we finally made it to the reception. There we found out that our keg tap was broken, so nobody had been able to have anything but tea, coffee or lemonade in the hour it had taken us to get there. Well phone calls were made and runs were taken to straighten out that horrible catastrophe. Alls well that ends well. Everything went wonderfully aside from that. It was lots of fun.

After the reception we made plans to get together w/ several people in our two families a few hours later. John and I wanted to have a few hours of .. private time. *laugh* Imagine that. Well, we got to the hotel and discovered that we were *GASP* in the room directly across the hall from my MOTHER!! Well, we said hello when we went in, then locked ourselves in our room for about an hour.

We started making plans as to what we would do that evening and decided on swimming so we called everyone and told them to bring swim clothes. About the time that everyone began arriving our power went out!!! So there we were, with no power and about 15 guests. (Apparently there had been an accident about a mile away that had taken out a transformer and nobody had power.) We called people coming and told them to bring candles and flashlights. John and Bobby went and got the keg out of the truck, and brought it into the room and put it in the bathtub. After everyone arrived things were nice. We pretty much stayed in our hotel room and hung out by candle-light. The ring bearer, John's nephew was disappointed about not being able to swim, so we let him fill up our jacuzzi and swim in that. My wonderful dreams of enjoying a soak in the jacuzzi were ruined!

I never did get to enjoy the jacuzzi because power didn't come back on until about 7 in the morning, and we had to get an early start to take my mother to the airport. However, all in all, I think everyone had a fantastic time. I know that I did. :)
