Biology
We had learnt a little bit genetics - especially bacterial genetics by now. This time we set out searching for salt tolerant mutants of Bacillus. Three of us - Abhishek Dasgupta, Arghya Modak and myself worked together.
Chemistry
My chemistry project was synthesis of Paracetamol. I realised how painful organic synthesis is after this and sincerely hope, I would never have to do another organic synthesis in my life.
Physics
We had a nice near frictionless airtrack alongwith a highspeed motion capture camera. We (Abhishek Shukla and myself) did some simple expermients on coupled harmonic oscillators using the airtrack.
Electronics
We were taught some basics about digital and analog electronics. My project was transmission of digital data through a free space optical link.
