Last summer, Mama Cat showed up with three adorable kittens. I didn't want to get close to them cause I knew I would end up taking them in. One kitten, Fred, fortunately found a home last summer. I took Molly in, and Bart still lives outside with Mama. They are the best of friends. They live under our porch in the winter, and all around our house in the summer. We can't get too close to Mama as she is still very distrusting, but Bart finally let us pat him last Christmas. Now he rolls over and expects tummy rubs every time he sees one of us!

In January, Mama was in heat again and got pregnant. We rented a humane trap and after 8 days of trying, she finally went in far enough for the door to close behind her. She was spayed and the vet gave her a rabies shot that should last 3 years. We had to leave her at the vet's for a week so he could keep an eye on her stitches and incision, cause we didn't want to let her roam outside until everything was okay. She's doing great now!
