We first met Maggie at the Petsmart Adopt a Pet Center which is run through our local Humane Society. She was all of eight weeks old and so very tiny. When I first picked her up, she put her arms around my neck and gave me a big ole puppy kiss. I fell in love right that very minute.
She had been dropped off at the Humane Society when only four weeks old. That's too young to adopt out, so a family fostered her until she was eight weeks old. They did a wonderful job with her, she came partly housebroken and very sweet.
After we officially adopted her, we couldn't take her home for three days because she needed to be spayed. That was a very long three days!!! Now she's nearly 50 pounds and almost nine months old! She's fiesty and mischevious, but a lot of fun. We love her and are very glad and lucky we happened upon Petsmart that day!
