November is here and will go by in a flash! 1C has been very busy. We work hard every day studying our word wall words. Ask your child about the silly things we do to help us remember our words!
We have been reading so much. The children read at least 15 minutes a day from their on-level bookbags. I also enjoy reading aloud to the children as I teach them reading is not just about decoding words.
We have been practicing adding and subtraction numbers. We use many strategies which include using pictures, making a model, counting on, and touchpoints. |
