By Nick Fiaca, News of The World When Corrie�s lonely teenage mum Sarah Louise turns to the internet for friendship she hooks up with 18-year-old Gary. Charmed, she decides to meet him. Arriving at Gary�s posh pad, Sarah Louise, played by Tina O�Brien, is disappointed when a thirty something answers claiming to be his dad. She goes in to wait for Gary, but it�s the start of a terrifying ordeal. �He�s horrible� says Sam Kane who plays Gary. �But this is a dream role. I want to be seen as a character actor and not typecast as a nice guy. �With this there�s great drama and you�re sending out a message that will educate the public� Say Sam, dad to Lucy, four, and Jack, 20 months, with his wife Linda Lusardi. �I�ve got two young kids and who knows what it�s going to be lik ewhen they start to use computers? �If you make people aware that people like Gary are out there, then it can only do some good.� For Sam, who will appear in four episodes of Corrie, it�s a return to telly drama after he quit Brookside�s Peter Phelan in February 1999. |
