Leave me ideas over thhheeerrrrrreeee ------------------------------->>>>> Tankies!!!!! :D:D:D Posted by Christine on October 15, 2004 @ 6:08 pm EST MOVIE REVIEW: VANITY FAIR My Rating: * *1/2 (out of 5) Something I had been very excited about! Yes indeed! This movie is based on the classic novel by William Makepeace Thackeray. Now I haven't read the book, but I must say, the actual story in this movie... it's extremly confusing. It was very scattered and lost and just plain all over the place. Vanity Fair is about the life and achievments of a woman named Rebecca Sharp, and how she stood out as a both loved and disliked personality in her society. This was definatly a wonderful job by Reese Witherspoon. I love her, she's so cute lol OMG! The girl from Havana Nights is in it too! YAY! Posted by Christine on September 12, 2004 @ 10:13 pm EST BLOGGY BLOG BLOG! I LOVE MY BLOG! IT'S SOFT AS A BUNNY AND GREEN LIKE A FROG! There's my poetry Amy XD ANYWAY! I hate school. I started highschool, obviously. I miss middle school sooooooooo much now T_T Actually, my first day was pretty good, but it just got worse each day. My english teacher's hot. Yeah... Posted by Christine on August 5, 2004 @ 12:04 am EST MOVIE REVIEW: THE BOURNE SUPREMACY My Rating: * * * (out of 5) Ok... well... I never read the books, but is it just me or are Identity and Supremacy extremly similar?? Anyway, I did enjoy it. Matt Damon's so cuddley looking ^.^ His run from the authorities continues only this time, his stupid girlfriend isn't there to slow him down anymore. (Thank you God!! I hated her so much >.>) The music is awesome! Go to a loud theater for this flic. Overall, it didn't do as much for me as i thought it would... I think I need to see it again LoL Posted by Christine on August 4, 2004 @ 11:47 pm EST I'm 14!! WOOOOO!! I'm still a junior teen though. >.> waaaa! Anyway, I had a semi-decent time in NYC in Chinatown for my birthday. I was all angsty cause my parents didn't get me any gifts so I whined a lot and I got to go shopping :D lol Sami is SO cute!!! I took him into PetSmart or PetsMart (whatever it is) and he stoped to smell EVERYTHING! He wa playing with all the other doggies and he looked so fuzzylicious ^.^ I'd like to say a special "THANKS!" to my friends who made my b-day fun :D I'm not really sure if there's still gunna be a party at Kyle's... I'll have to see about that..... Look what Amy gave me!!! ------ CLICK! Posted by Christine on July 29, 2004 @ 8:17 pm EST Hmmm... what to say... I know! I have something to say to all you parents/guardians out there: don't ignore you're children! That has to be the WORST thing you could possibly do to them. That is all. Have a nice life. Posted by Christine on July 18, 2004 @ 11:58 pm EST WOOT! new layout in progress, it's gunna be cute and purty :D I have an annoying virus, Spyware. Can someone help me??? Ok, I need to find a way to center this site around my TB... i remeber my first layout (with the cute goldfish) had the TB smack at the top.. hmm... well i'm open to suggestions! My birthday's cming up soon. Hopefully my parents will be nice and give me a Vespa. Peaches to all!! XD Posted by Christine on July 12, 2004 @ 12:58 am EST Summer ROX! I've been sleeping in :D My cousin just left for Chicago today, she had been visiting for about a week. We had a great time! Not much has been going on here really. I seriously need to call my best friend Jackie, I'm afraid she might be dead or something, we haven't talked since like Christmas. Posted by Christine on June 28, 2004 @ 11:16 pm EST I was going to do two other movie reviews, but I thought that four in a row would be a bit too much. Anyway, recently I've seen HP3 and Troy, both decent, Troy's better. I have exactly...*counts*...4 days of school left!!! WoOoOoOt!!! I might get to make my dream-room in the basement... that would be soooo awesome :p I made a new site called "Dumbledore's Army" at www.the3broomsticks.com. I was going to let my domain name expire but I changed my mind and grabbed it back at the last second LoL. Ok, that's it! Cya nuggets Posted by Christine on June 8, 2004 @ 11:48 am EST MOVIE REVIEW: THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST My Rating: * * * * (out of 5) Ok, I really don't get all this mumbo-jumbo about the violence in this film being "over the top." It really wasn't that bad at all. I went there expecting to run out of the theater gagging but instead I just sat there, not even cringing in the slightest. The only thing disturbing thing about this movie was the portrayal of Satan... *shiver* that guy/girl was SCARY! There's this actress in the movie who plays Satan and I swear it's the most horrifyingly (did I spell that right?) creepy thing I've ever seen. There's also this really freaky scene where Mark (was it Mark?) goes insane from his guilt. He was chased into the desert by children with rotting faces, there eyes rolled back into their heads. There was absolutly nothing anti-semitic in this movie. Nothing. NOTHING. If any "anti-ism" was in this film, it was anti-Roman. Anyway, it was extremely well made, so kudos to Mel. The acting was superb, and after a while you forgot that that wasn't really Jesus being crucified up on that big screen. I recommend it to anyone and all, and I wish a very merry Easter to all who celebrate. Posted by Christine on April 10, 2004 @ 11:59 pm EST MOVIE REVIEW: SECRET WINDOW My Rating: * * * * * (out of 5) Heeeeeeeeere's JOHNNY! Wow, he truly is amazing. Johnny Depp plays Mort in this Steven King thriller about an author who is haunted by his own uncontrolable mind. The cinematography was outstanding. Ok, so there wasn't any flying FBI agents or lazer guns, but it was still very asthetically pleasing. ***SPOILER ALERT! STOP READING HERE!*** If you watch the trailer, you get the idea that this movie is about a dude who claims that his story was stolen. BUT... it's not, as you find out at the end. Mort is actually schizophrenic, and only imagins the man that's following him. The "story" that was stolen from him is actually reffering to his wife, that was taken from him by another man. This movie is definatly worth seeing. Bring all your friends! :) Posted by Christine on March 20, 2004 @ 11:20 pm EST Yeah ok so I haven't posted in a REALLY long time, I know. Anyway, not much has happened really. I'm going to add a few people onto my friends list ^.^ I saw Hidalgo yesterday and it's REALLY good!!! May I suggest that you get off your lazy butt and go sit in the movie theater for 2 1/2 hours to see it??? It's definatly worth it though :D Today, I was watching Pirtates of the Caribbean (again) and burning incense and my mom came in and took all the incesne!! She wasn't gunna let me burn it anymore but I curled up into a little ball on the sofa and cried, so now I have it back :D lol I'm so good at that ;) Posted by Christine on March 14, 2004 @ 9:42 pm EST If you have to think outside of the box, maybe it's too small. Posted by Christine on February 2, 2004 @ 9:54 pm EST Ahhh nothin to say really. Nothing's been happening. *iz watching Pirates o the Caribbean again* :D luv that movie! Oh I finished my X-Files fanlisting! Visit these links if you like LOTR: Captions-1 Captions-2 Captions-3 Captions-4 Posted by Christine on December 31, 2003 @ 7:35 pm EST I hope everyone had a very merry Holiday. I increased my Hello Kitty population by about 90% and finally got a digital camera which I seriously needed. Maybe I can get some pictures of me here pretty soon :) I got my foot surgery on Monday. It really wasn't that bad. I wasn't nervous at all untill I walked into the operating room... it looks just the way it does on TV. It's HUGE with these bright lights everywhere. I felt fine though once I was on the bed. They put the oxygen mask on my face and the next thing I knew I was in the recovery room. My foot hurts now and sometimes I can't sleep cause of the pain, so I'm kinda grumpy (what else is new?) My aunt, uncle and cousin from Jordan came to visit yesterday, along with my cousin from D.R. , my other cousin from Wisconsin, and my grandparents from NY. Today my aunt, uncle, and cousin from upstate NY are coming (:() I don't like them, but oh well. I'm working on an X-Files fanlisting website. Hopefully I'll get that done soon. Posted by Christine on December 27, 2003 @ 12:07 pm EST MOVIE REVIEW: THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING My Rating: * * * * (out of 5) On December 17, I made my mother bring me to a 7 pm showing of lotr3. Since all my friends hate lotr, it was just my mom, my brother, and me. We got to the movies at about 6 and the theater that seated 800 people was already half full. We got our seats around the center of the theater and I enjoyed looking around at all the strange lotr freaks just like me. We waited and waited and I kept on eating my sour gummy candies that we snuck in, along with a coke. At exactly 7, every last seat in the theater was occupied, the lights dimmed, and the previews started. After a message saying "Don't pirate movies," someone in the front stood up and screamed "BOOOOO!" and pretty soon everyone was booing. It was a very enthusiastic crowd. The Return of the King, in my opinion, looks like it was approached in a very different way than the first two installments of the trilogy. Lotr3 seems to be more of a visual than an intellectual or spiritual. There wasn't anything spectacular about the music, in fact I thought it was rather badly timed. Much character development takes place with Merry and Pippin, as well as Gollum. In fact, the first two minutes or so of the movie are kinda disturbing. Arwen shines a little more in this movie, along with Aragorn's other lover, Eowyn. I'd have to say my two favorite parts were when Frodo and Sam finally reach Minus Morgul and that beam of green light shoots into the sky (it was totally kewl!) and the scene where the beacons were being lit when Gondor called for aid. The movie runs at 3 hours and 20 minutes. Although I'm afraid it probably won't grab any Oscars, it's worth seeing. In fact I'm planning on seeing it two more times before the end of the year. I have to see it before I get my surgery on Monday, cause after that I won't be able to leave my house for three weeks. Ok, that's it. Byebye. Posted by Christine on December 20, 2003 @ 12:23 am EST Hello! I went to see flamenco dancers in Hartford with my Spanish class. It's was ok I guess. After, we went to a Mexican resturant were I had tacos (...tacos...) and burned my mouth with some over-spicy salsa. We got back to school in time for 7th period where my music tech. teacher screamed at me for no reason... it was kinda strange... I think he was drunk... Ok well, have a nice life! Posted by Christine on December 2, 2003 @ 4:14 pm EST Ah Thanksgiving day! How wonderful. I spent the whole afternoon making desserts and then sat down to a nice dinner. My dad left to be with his family and still hasn't come back. He never had my desserts. I watched Edward Scissorhands a little while ago. I love that movie! It always makes me cry. Poor Edward. Anyway, Johnny Depp is sooo hott! He was awsome in Pirates and there's something so strange and mysterious about him in Scissorhands. Very kewl. I'm bored out of my mind right now and have nothing at all to do. Everyone's asleep. Posted by Christine on November 27, 2003 @ 11:17 pm EST Today I saw the movie Master & Commander. It was bad. Don't see it. Waste of money. There was absolutly no character development, it had no plot whatsoever, and it got pretty repetative after a while. In case you didn't know, I am a movie addict. I love watching good movies, especially drama. I'm begining to brew up some ideas for my site and now that my computer is working again, maybe I can get some work done on it. OK, i g2g. My mom just told me to go to sleep and I'm totally not allowed to be on my computer this late so I have no idea why she isn't screaming at me right now. Byebye. Posted by Christine on November 24, 2003 @ 12:57 am EST Just for all you confuzzled peeps, this site is completely empty of content cause I haven't really started working on it yet! In fact, I don't have the slightest idea of what I'm gunna put on it. I need some ideas ppl. Throw em my way. I didn't go to school today. I stayed home and slept and slept and slept and now I have to go do homework. OMG I'm soooo excited! When my mom gets home with my bro she'll have The Two Towers extended DVD! YAY! I'm gunna watch the whole thing tonight. :D Some more interesting (not) news is that just yesterday, Becca and I were talking about how frickin funny it would be if she (for no reason) walked up to Tommy and slapped an ice pack on his head and said "There. Does that feel better?" And she just called me and said that he hurt his head and had to wear an ice pack all day. Isn't that ironic?... Over and out. Posted by Christine on November 19, 2003 @ 4:10 pm EST OK, here's the deal: I needed a site that wasn't Harry Potter. Yes that's right, not Harry Potter. I know that there are many anti-Potters out there, so this site is for them. This site's just kinda my... identity... yeah... I thought it would be cool if I centered this site around my tag-board, so that's exactly what I did. Hopefully I can start getting people to come here and chat on my board... Ok, that's it for now. Byebye. Oh yeah, and I'm looking for affiliates once I get this site up. Posted by Christine on November 16, 2003 @ 3:19 pm EST |
