First we went to Victoria, but since it was late at night, we decided to keep going until we got to Corpus Christi. It was gorgeous! But my heart was really set on finding antique stores so I could bring something back with me. We finally came across this town called Rockport and just walked around to different stores. Being that it was a small town of maybe about 16,000 people, and a Sunday, most stores were closed. Anyhow, we went to a few antique stores and came across some really old books. Two are from the early 1900's and one is from 1846. I started reading one of them since we got back and so far it's really interesting. We also found a newspaper from 1974. Also we found this really neat (old bronze) round shield that we might hang up on one of the walls in house. And that's not all, while driving into Victoria's downtown, we came across this old creepy looking house. We also stopped to take some pictures at this old mansion from more than a 100 years ago! |
