1st prize-monthly; finalist for photograph of the year

finalist in the annual awards. this photograph was composed because of dissatisfaction with a usual beautiful sunset photo. an original sunset stock photo of manila bay, printed 8x10 inches was almost perfect, only it is just another one of those. when i went to australia to visit a sister, an idea suddenly struck me when i saw my niece playing around with paper plane and boat. i borrowed the toys and put it on top of the print and rephotographed the whole thing for 2 seconds while moving the paper plane to register its movement.
nikon fe2; 70-210mm and 50mm lenses; final product recorded on kodachrome 25 transparency.
