"URBAN EAGLE"
A rare shot of an eagle indeed! The fact is, the eagle was photographed not in the wilds of Mindanao. Believe it or not it was taken in Ubando, Bulacan a place just minutes north of Manila! I was documenting a property in the area (a fishpond) when suddenly, we saw this huge bird spying on the milkfish below. I got ready with my 500mm mirror lens and took pictures of it as it glides gently above us. To our surprise (and to my delight), it swooped down to snatch a fish in the pond and guess what? - I got it all on film! I chose the best looking image and combined it with a shot of the late afternoon sun in the exact same location. It was done in the darkroom with no digital manipulation at all.
