Qui-Gon Jinn

Unlike other Jedi Masters, Qui-Gon lived for the moment, using a philosophy of "feel, don't think - use your instincts." If it were not for Qui-Gon's contrary views, he would have been on the Jedi Council. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan traveled to Naboo to settle the trade dispute that threatened the peaceful worlds. Aboard a Trade Federation battleship, the Jedi were ambushed but managed to escape to the surface of Naboo. They then continued on to the city of Theed, freed Queen Amidala from the Trade Federation, and had to deliver her safely to the capital of Coruscant.

During the trip to Coruscant, the damage to the Royal Starship forced an unscheduled stop on the planet of Tatooine. There, Qui-Gon discovered a young boy named Anakin Skywalker, a slave to Jabba the Hutt, who was strong in the Force. Sensing the boy's potential to be a great Jedi, Qui-Gon freed Anankin from slavery. Back at Naboo, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan confronted the Sith Lord Darth Maul, who killed Qui-Gon. Obi-Wan then defeated Maul, but nothing could save Qui-Gon. With his last breath, the Jedi Master asked Obi-Wan to train Anankin. Obi-Wan accepted, even if the Jedi Council wouldn't of approve.
