Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones is definitely a great improvement from The Phantom Menace. The fall of Anakin Skywalker has begun during this time of turmoil in the galaxy. Christen Hayden (Virgin Suicides/ Life As a House) plays the young Darth Vader opposite Natalie Portman (Where the Heart Is), Padme the former queen of Naboo. Anakin betrays his Jedi order and falls deeply in love with Padme. Obi Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor, Black Hawk Down/ Moulin Rouge) Anakin's master, discovers a clone army on a missing planet on the outer realms of the galaxy. He finds a bounty hunter named Jango Fett, father of Bobba Fett whose character haunts later episodes. Obi Wan is led to the planet Geonosis where the "Bad Guys" are blue printing the plans for the "Death Star". The film as a whole exceeded the general expectations of critics. |
