"What?! What happened?" asked Julie.

"There was a bank robbery this afternoon."

"I'll be right there!" said Julie as she hung up the phone and flew out the door.

Running into the emergency room at the Metroplex Hospital, Julie found Trent sitting with Walker, Trivette and Alex.

"Trent! What's going on? How is he?" she asked as she rushed up to the small group.

"He's still in surgery," said Trent.

"What happened?" she asked as Trent pulled her down into the seat beside him.

Walker answered her. "The robbers were holding a 15 year old girl hostage when we got there. When they released her, one of the robbers turned to shoot her. Carlos pulled her out of the way and took the bullet instead."

Julie could barely speak as the tears streamed down her face and she started to cry. Trent held her and let her cry. Then a doctor came out and asked if they were there for Detective Carlos Sandoval.
