My first Russian roadtrip!  Yippee!  It was fun driving to St. Petersburg.  The roads are pretty good and it was nice to see all the little villages between Moscow and St. Pete.  The weather has cooled off a lot and is very nice now.  It is in the 70s instead of the 90s now.

We had trouble finding the place where our studies and conference are being held.  We finally made it though.  Thankfully, Marina, gave me her St. Pete sim card so we were able to make phones calls for a reasonable price.

The sanatorium where we are staying is north of St. Petersburg along the Gulf of Finland.  It is a 15 minute walk to the beach.  There is a little store 2 minutes from here across from the electrichka station (electric train).  I'm living on the third floor with two Russian girls, Julia T. and Katya.  Katya speaks less English than I speak Russian so communication is very challenging!
