| Neushwanstein: Neushwanstein is a famous German castle located in the rural city of Fussen and was built by King Ludwig II. The castle was never completed and construction was halted after his death in 1886. King Ludwig was a romantic that loved dance, theatre, and the arts. One night he dreamt a castle as beautiful as the Neushwanstein and promptly set out to have it built. Petra, which means stone in Greek, is located in Jordan and was a city well known for its control over important trade routes that linked Rome, Greece, and Assyria to Arabia, and Egypt.
