Beautiful Places
Neushwanstein:

Neushwanstein is a famous German castle located in the rural city of Fussen and was built by King Ludwig II.  The castle was never completed and construction was halted after his death in 1886.  King Ludwig was a romantic that loved dance, theatre, and the arts.  One night he dreamt a castle as beautiful as the Neushwanstein and promptly set out to have it built.  Clearly this is an impressive work of art as it juts out of the middle of the rock and contains elaborate designs on the inside.

Petra:

Considered as one of the first cities in the middle east, Petra signifies the rise and fall of a civilization.  Petra, which means stone in Greek, is located in Jordan and was a city well known for its control over important trade routes that linked Rome, Greece, and Assyria to Arabia, and Egypt.  Petra is thought to have been established almost 9000 years ago and was inhabited by the Nabateans which became so wealthy they became worrisome to the great Roman empire.
