Technical Interests
Artificial Intelligence
Specifically the areas of Machine Learning, Knowledge Representation and Probabilistic Reasoning. Within Machine Learning, I focus on Bayesian modeling of cognitive phenomena especially applied to the problem of selective perception and inference of visual stimuli using fMRI image analysis. I am also interested in Data Mining techniques and the field of vertical search engines.
Computer Networks and Distributed Systems
Communication, conflict management, data consistency, process co-ordination, distributed OS, distributed DB, Web Services, and intelligent agents over distributed systems and networks.
Cryptography and Computer Security
My passing interest lies in authentication protocols and secure communication over insecure channels, also various symmetric/Asymmetric cryptographic protocols esp. RSA-type public key algorithms. I tried working once on a problem concerning RSA encryption scheme for secure group broadcast.
