South Asian Mela '99

An absolute fabulous event doors opened on time at 2pm. Full flash security presence, Helicopter ride and much more to enjoy in one of its kind event known as Mela ’99. More then 16000 showed up and everyone had great time. First to be appeared on stage were BLACK NIGHTS from 3:15pm – 4:00pm. Secondly on stage was DJ Impulsive for straight 20 minutes and took the hot sweated seated crowd to dancing and hopping. DJ started off with an only song of its kind know as KHUDI of Junoon and attracted everyone. DJ performance was great and non-stop dance beats with several of Pakistani songs ‘Patang Baz Sajna, Wan Kutia, Babia, Maulla, Munda Pakistani, Mahi, Kinna Sona and finished off with Yaar Bina of Junoon. Though it was HOT and I mean real hot day but by this time everyone was asking for more and more. 

Next on stage were the local talent, which included several of dances and singers. After this came on stage was ‘The Avengers’. There performance was great and they sanged various of tracks and at this time whole place was jam packed and people needed a real boost. 

Tahseen Jawed took the crowd request in his hands and performed brilliantly, after him came the one and only ALAMGIR. Alamgir performance was great absolute great, he sanged his all time best tracks ‘Kurti, Gori, Jugnii, ko korena and more’.

On the other side of the stage, venders were busy serving a long waited hungry crowd & customers. Variety of different stalls from clothing, audio to food and more. The 15 minutes city Helicopter ride was jam packed toward the evening and people really loved it. The whole event ended by 11pm.
