Week 68 – summer school sucks

(6/30/05) Really, it does. I have to get up at six in the morning spend two and a half hours listening to the teacher prattle on about driving, and then spend an hour and a half to two hours walking home. I actually rather enjoy the walk back, and I don’t mind it so much, it gives me a chance to keep up with some of my friends who I wouldn’t see otherwise, like Santos and Richie; Kris, too, but I’d see him a couple times even if he weren’t in summer school.

I’m getting sick of seeing commercials for Madagascar. It looks like a really stupid movie, and advertising the hell out of it makes me want to see it even less. I mean, seriously, what is it with TV these days that channels seem to only have two sets of commercials? Do they think that I want to see the same commercials over and over and over again until I have them memorized? No, I don’t. It makes me less inclined to use the products and/or services advertised.

I’ve finally gotten around to a little bit of writing again. Not much, one two-page story and a poem, but it’s better than the nothing that I’d been pushing out for quite a while there. And what I put down was decent, not great, but passable. You know, it seems to me these days like me an’ R are kinda drifting, that really sucks. I think the story was better than the poem, but mostly because of the almost surreal realism used therein (yes, I’m saying good things about something I wrote, shocking, huh?).

Well, Operation: Corset looks like it has hit many, MANY snags, but I feel confident that somehow, we’ll be able to pull it off. There are three possible ways that it’s going to get pulled off (if, and I hope, it does come to pass): Iron Pony, Wave, or Steel. All would be interesting, though Wave would probably be the hardest to pull off. Samecool was right when he said that if it does happen, it would make an interesting movie. I plan on logging it through any means possible, writing, video, audio cassette, so hey, who knows?
