Live, Love, and Hate – by Orpheus

Week 67 – Return

(6/22/05) “I can’t,” Orpheus whispered. As he turned his eyes away, the brilliant scenes of life and color faded back to what they had been ever since [no, don’t think about that]. Eurydice didn’t answer. She was gone again. It didn’t surprise him. He’d been shocked that she came back for as long as she had, so far disappearance was quite expected.

The schoolyard was empty. Orpheus put his face in his hands and tried as hard as he could to control himself. His breath was regular, though it was more than a little hitching. Then, it occurred to him that he didn’t really need to breathe ever since [no], so he stopped. “I… I just don’t feel like I’m important anymore, y’know?” She was still silent.

(6/24/05) Y’know what? I don’t feel like finishing this, and since I don’t get paid anymore, I don’t have to! Hooray!
