Week 64 – I am forgetting how to play the game

 

(5/29/05) Okay I really don’t know what I’m gonna write this about, but it’s already the week after it was due, so I guess I gotta get something down. There was supposed to be a session of the Resident Evil group yesterday, but only Samecool and Karol showed up, so we just went for a walk up to the 99 Cent Store instead (whoo, the thrill a minute excitement of rock bottom prices!). Mostly Karol was quiet or complaining; he’s more sociable when he is indoors, and yet it’s always his idea when we go out, kinda funny, huh?

 

Some day, I think we should get Karol, Samecool, Kris, and myself together and actually use those VtES cards we bought a few months back. I mean, we tried it once, but I was, like, the only one who had any idea what they were doing, so we only got to play, like, one turn or so because we were trying to do so at lunch, and we lost about ten minutes waiting for everyone to show up and then finding a room (‘cuz our school is not one large building, as many in other areas are, or so I gather).

 

I’m thinking I might do something strange with the next VItalis, like get pictures of the places that it talks about, maybe take them once when everyone is there, and then on the weekend or something when the place is empty. Then, maybe I’ll, like, put a few lines in that are supposed to be Orpheus’ thoughts, and of course, the half quotation at the end (you see, when he says one line, he actually means two, like when he says “when people run in circles” what he means is “when people run in circles / it’s a very, very mad world”).

 

I finished reading lost boy lost girl by Peter Straub this morning, it was good. Next book on my list is The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower. I don’t know whether to say that all of the episodes since “Amy’s pussy” have been season four or are just a continuation of season three, what do you think? Oh, yeah, that’s right, the readers are all imaginary, gotta get used to that. But really, I’m liking being back at writing LLH, maybe I’ll get started writing some of my other stuff again soon, like The Collected Memories of Nicholas Kroll or Follow the White Rabbit, maybe even Honor The Fallen (rewritten) or Three Years Below. Well, that’s something for another day.
