Live, Love, and Hate – by Orpheus

Week 62 – Amy’s pussy

(5/13/05, close to midnight) At first, I didn’t think I’d like it. But down there on the floor - lying on top of those combat boots that I can only assume are hers - I changed my mind. It was adorable, just like she said it’d be. How can one not fall in love with such an adorable thing of soft flesh and hair. No question mark because it is a rhetorical question, and I submit that one cannot. She could, however, had given it a better name than Faye. I mean, sure, it’s only a cat (still a kitten, really), but come on, it’s a stupid name and will probably grow to resent it. Faye, or fey, or fay or however you want to spell it, is a fancy word for fairy. It is a cat currently of diminutive stature, not a bleedin’ fairy.

Anyway, I suppose I should talk about what’s happened to me since the last Live, Love, and Hate “week” (which are more along the lines of months these days). Problem is, I don’t think that anything HAS happened to me. I read books 4 and 5 of the Dark Tower series, but that’s not terribly exciting or noteworthy. (5/14/05, barely past midnight) The one-year anniversary of Deliverance was last Saturday, though that wasn’t terribly exciting, either. I got City of Heroes; I play on the Triumph server as either T’silah or The ChaosTheroy. I’m not on it terribly much, though.

I should probably be sleeping right now. I’m only a little tired, though, and I want to make sure that I finish this up. Actually, I think I will got to bed now, finish it up sometime tomorrow. Hopefully, things will have shifted from a sort of sleepy, hazy contentment. (5/14/05) Nope, things don’t seem to have changed since yesterday. It’s still too fucking hot outside and I don’t have anything better to do with my time than read Needful Things by Stephen King. It’s an okay book, but definitely not his best, that would be It or The Wastelands.

(later, same day) Um, okay I guess I still got one more paragraph to kill before I can put this thing up, guess maybe I’ll say what you can be expecting (relatively) soon. Probably another menagerie type column, the kind with only the menagerie and no VItalis to go with it, maybe another VItalis, another Oblivion might be hovering somewhere on the horizon (yes, Oblivion and not VItalis). I’m going to try and get an LLH up every Friday again, just like I did through season 1. It occurs to me that there really isn’t so much of a distinction between seasons 2 and 3 as I’d like.

Well, for the time being, this is Orpheus signing off. Please send topics for me to rant about to [email protected]
