Week 56 – sandwiches are awesome
(1/29/05) I mean, really, who ever thought of putting meat between two slices of bread should get a medal or something, even if s/he is dead, pin it to their coffin or something. I had the greatest sandwich the other day, it was Cajun turkey, mmm, so tasty… Oh, not sure if I mentioned this tragedy in my column, and wouldn’t it be funny if I hadn’t, but my CD wallet got stolen bout two weeks ago (Oh, a late happy birthday to J), and I’ve missed it so very much (it had about $500 worth of music inside of it, oh the sorrow!).
I just finished reading Christine, by Stephen King, and it awesome, much better than the last two books of his that I read (Cujo and Pet Semetary, the latter of which had moments when it was about as good as ‘Salem’s Lot, which was better than Christine [The Shining was somewhere between Pet Semetary and Christine], but over all, it lagged too much in some places, and the end just sucked). You know what? I’m gonna go see if we have any tacos left over from dinner last night, if so, I’m gonna eat one, back in a moment, imaginary reader.
Curses, apparently someone got to the leftovers before I did. (1/29/05, many hours later) This sucks, I get all the way up to, like, the last mission of Vampire: the Masquerade – Bloodlines, and then something messes up and I can’t get into the sewers that I need to get into. Cheat console does not work on my desktop, so I can’t turn god mode on, so I guess I’ll try on my brother’s, it works there…
(1/30/05) Didn’t work, my problem, as it turns out, is that I was closing the console window the wrong way. Kinda funny how much something simple like that can throw you off, isn’t it? Don’t get how you’re expected to survive the end of that game without god mode, just too many enemies at the temple in Chinatown. Anyway, I had enough time to read both The Gunslinger and Cycle of the Werewolf today, they were both good. The second was much better than the movie based off of it (called Silver Bullet, you’d barely even know that the movie was based on the book if it hadn’t been in the credits).
