Week 46 – CURSES!

(11/26/04)I checked the Sci-Fi Channel Schedule-bot and would like to know why there are no slasher-flicks on this weekend. I mean, there’ve been great ones on these last few weeks, Halloween (I didn’t stay up to watch H2 last week), Disturbing Behavior (well, that’s not really a slasher), and Urban Legend (which I only saw part of for some reason I can’t remember).

I wonder why we don’t haves Psycho on film anywhere in this house. It’s one of my mom’s favorite movies, and I got the sudden urge to watch it today (as I’ve never seen the movie before), but when I checked, I couldn’t find it anywhere in the house. I still haven’t checked the video collection of my nursing-home ridden grandfather, but other than that, nowhere to be found. (did you know that my next-door neighbor once hired a priest to perform an exorcism in my room? And the priest did it, too! All this happened before I was born, mind you, but it means that I’ve no need to fear demonic possession in here) Anyway, while I was in my parents’ room, I decided to see if they still had the picture of First J and her little brother on display, no luck there either, which means that Operation: Spy-Games is a no-go.

I just closed out the window that I’ve been typing this in and walked out into the hall as far as to the bathroom door, then just turned around, walked back, opened this window, and started typing this paragraph, and I have no fucking clue why. Hooray for being crazy, eh? God, I have been watching WAAAAY too much Law & Order today. Ever notice how, like, nobody ever gets off on this show? How the jury never seems to find anybody not guilty? It’s not really just today, either (though I’ve been watching it for about seven hours now), I mean, last week (maybe earlier this week, I can’t really remember), I’d come to some brilliant insight regarding R and B, but then, all of a sudden I’m all “hey! I know why that lawyer looks familiar! He looks like ‘Hacksaw’ from the Romeo Show (which I only ever keep on because of my need for background noise), and that guy in my German class!” So then, when I try and get my train of thought back on track, I couldn’t remember what conclusion I’d come to.

I hope you all had a better Thanksgiving than I did. The gravy was runny and definitely not salty enough, the turkey was dry, and there were nowhere near enough mashed potatoes. Besides all that, there’s also the fact that it was Thanksgiving last year that my grandfather was sent to the hospital, and he has been traded off between there and the nursing home ever since. But the pie was good, the pie was very good (well, the apple-cranberry pie was, I don’t like pumpkin pie, which is why I can’t say whether or not it was any good). I wonder what game the Training Campaign group is gonna decide on after the Ravenloft game.

For Week 46, this is Orpheus, signing out. Send topics to [email protected] oh, and Operation: Two-Face is still a go.
