Live, Love, and Hate – by Orpheus

Week 45 – Like a fading song…

(11/20/04) First note on the world of Orpheus is the addition of a new Letter, “B”. All that needs be said of her will be said in a time in which it will become appropriate to say such things as need be said. Hooray for talking in circles and pretty much saying that I’ll say more about her when something new arises. And, unlike with some of the other letters, this time something new might very well arise. Hey, did you ever notice that there isn’t a single vowel among all the Letters? Kinda weird, really, I mean, it’s not like it’s done on purpose or anything.

Oh, the title this time is a reference to “The Last Days” by Bella Morte, the line is ‘I figure life will soon be over, like a fading song…’, and I’m listening to it right now, and I liked the line, same with ‘if I live to be much older, I fear I’ll be alone’ or ‘for your stare speaks something so insane and I know you won’t be saved’, but I like the first one best, this is really a good song. It’s weird, after listening to the album it’s on (As the Reasons Die), I always think ‘wow, that was a good CD’, but pretty much any other time I think ‘meh, the CD’s only okay’, I suppose that it’s because, while it’s a good CD, it doesn’t have the lasting significance of, say, Where Shadows Lie or The Quiet.

Oh, yeah, the rest of the column. Things seem to be pretty much patched up with R (though I still feel just plain awful ‘bout what I did). I saw the first Halloween movie this afternoon, and I can’t say that it really explained very much, but oh well, supposedly Halloween 2 (which is on at 3 AM, and I plan on watching) explains why it is that Michael is so hell-bent on killing what’s-her-name (I think it’s Laurie). I also plan on watching “The Rage: Carrie 2” when it comes on in 26 minutes. You know, I need to read that book (Carrie being the book as there was no “The Rage: Carrie 2” book).(“Burn shadows on my eyes, the latent image of you” Deadlife, by Brainclaw) (“Fading dreams awash with fear of a prophecy that lives, will you be there at my side?” The Last, by Bella Morte) (“The dance goes on, but pales without you” Remains, by Bella Morte)

(11/21/04) Well, ever notice how you can seem to believe something with everything you are one day, and yet later it doesn’t seem to make any sense when you wake up the next morning? It’s almost like… well I can’t really think of what to compare it too. Oh, I’ve spoken with C again, so I know that she’s alright. I was really beginning to worry about her.

“This isn’t me I used to say. All the love was so gone” it’s from “My Throat is an Open Grave” by Demon Hunter. For Week 45, this is Orpheus signing off.
