Week 40 (47) – Operation: PicK (a.k.a. Operation: Picky)

(10/29/04) Quite contrary to the methods that Kristofer, “Eliot”, and myself use to determine an operation name, Samecool has given this one a name based on its function. I must say, I am quite disappointed in him for this. I mean, if you hear someone talking about it, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out what you’re scheming with a name like that, where as you’d never expect Operation: Sheep to involve betrayal and defecting to another army of wizards, would you? No, you wouldn’t.

So here are the basics of the operation as far as I understand it: the Major surveys the area where the Subject is known to be on a regular basis. The Major repeats this often enough that he will not seem a sight out of the ordinary, but not often enough that the Subject might think that he is up to something.

Once the Subject has been acclimated to the presence of the Major, the Operative will be used to obtain the Objective from the Subject, as the Operative will be accompanying the Major. How exactly this will be accomplished is a decision left entirely to the Major and the Operative, but false, misdirecting Objectives will be obtained from people other than the Subject, or so I am lead to believe. Then, all Objectives, false and otherwise, will be given to the General.

Something evil, something vile, something wicked this way comes. You know, I just finished watching “Bride of Chucky” and am now watching “Army of Darkness” on Sci-Fi Channel. I must say, “Bride of Chucky” was probably the worst movie that I’ve seen since Manos: Hands of Fate. Who knows, maybe another Bad Movies column is on its way. Wouldn’t that be great?
