“Sobe” [Note from Orpheus: Formatting’s wrong here]
Green tea is good. Alright, so I started as these usually start. Something strange yet personal. I’ve picked up a taste for Sobe Green Tea, it’s quite good. To me, the bottle is large and I can drink the whole thing as if it were a can of soda. [NfO: Um, okay... I’d complain about the randomness, but with some of the stuff I put in mine (esp. Week 80 – The Confessions of a Teenaged Psychopath {title not final, and the episode never was posted}), I really don’t have a right to.]
Orpheus needed someone to fill in, so here I am. I used to run this site, I had a lot more vision, and perhaps patience back then. Now it’s his, I merely scan his drawings and attempt to update if he cannot. Speaking of which, as of now(6:06 pm, Feb 6) I still have to scan some… [NfO: What the hell is with that box? I’ve fixed all the other ones, but that one just does not make sense to me] I’m usually lazy about this, but fear not Imaginary Reader, I assure you it will be done by the end of the night. I believe there will be at least one scoff at this.
So, I must confess, I don’t write as much as I should. In fact, there are many things I don’t do that I should or that I do and should not. Something I enjoy doing, although I’m not sure that I should or shouldn’t do it, is looking at random articles on Wikipedia. I simply click the Random Article button (or type Alt and x and then hit enter) and I’m off to see another tidbit of knowledge.
Lemme give a trail of examples:
Gallium Gadolinium Garnet
Appellaniz
Skyshield
B-Daman
Spencer John Bent
All of these can be learned about from Wikipedia, but I doubt their pages are visited very often. I simply click along and stop when there is something of interest.
I’ve been reading several books recently. I started It but I am still working on it. I am also in the middle of On Writing. Both of these are by Stephen King. Great writer, as I’m sure Orpheus has boasted somewhere in a past LLH [NfO: how can I “boast” about something that isn’t my own accomplishment? Poor choice of words, mayhap “ranted” or “raved” would be better]. I need to finish them, by the way. Something King suggests to writers in On Writing is to write one thousand words a day. I wonder how many I’m up to now. Damn, only 334. (Did you know Dan Simmons wrote a book very similar to King’s It titled Summer of Night?) Perhaps I won’t cover all 1,000 in this article.
I’ve always worried my paragraphs are too short. Or that they don’t vary enough in length. Perhaps this is silly, but it effects me. Plenty of things effect me that shouldn’t. (Violet Hunter was a character in the Sherlock Holmes book series, always meant to read that.) I can’t really think of any of them now though. I am reminded of that last thought that Orpheus never remembers.
This is shaping up to be a long LLH. (Tsagaan Sar is a celebration by the Mongolians of the lunar New Year. It generally occurs around the same time as the Chinese New Year, but the Mongolians deny any relation. Yeah right, copycats.) Well, of course, I doubt it’ll be longer than a menagerie. Those are just long due to lyrics [NfO: some sort of contrast signaling word would go well here]. (My lights just flickered, what does that mean?) [NfO: Very likely, it means a power surge, or in Kroll it would probably indicate a haunting of some sort] I’ve always wondered what the point of these LLH articles are [NfO: should be “is” not “are”]. They’re partial journal and partial, um, something else. (A tzompantli is a wooden rack used to display skulls of war captives or sacrificial victims. Sheesh, that’s a little weird.) Admittedly, I’ve never asked Orpheus outright, unless I have and forgot (which there is a good chance of). He seemed to want to put down somewhere his thoughts like a journal, but he didn’t want anyone to know so he assigned Letters [NfO: the assignment of the Letters, ah, yes. Now, you see, when I first started writing for Samecool, he told me he was going to start promoting his site, so I didn’t want, y’know, like everyone to know who all the people are, right? And besides, if K ever found out about this, I would end up in so much trouble (I assume; mostly because everything with her seems to involve lots of trouble)].
My new mouse is not all that good. It’s called a pirate mouse and is shaped like a skull. The skull obviously belonged to a pirate because it had a bandana and eye patch on along with a gold tooth. It’s not good not because it is a pirate skull, but because it causes the pointer to move even when I don’t move it. This would be creepy, but I think it may not be plugged in all the way. (Light Up is a logic based puzzle published by Nikoli. To me it looks a lot like Sudoku, and upon reading it is. But its premise is different.) [NfO: I am going to murder the next person I see and/or hear doing a sudoku puzzle or talking about it, it bugs the fucking hell out of me]
Word Count comes to 704 words. Wow. And you’re still reading. Thanks Imaginary Reader!
Well, I think I’ve spilled my share. Send ideas to Orpheus, or not I guess cause he’s sorta on leave or whatever. Um, this is Samecool, signing off. [NfO: And Samecool said that the last paragraph of Amy’s Pussy was too self-aware...]
