Week 84 – Nowhere/Crusade (Peter Pan)

(1/24/06, 9:06 AM, p.2 AlgII/Trig, room 300) The first half of this week’s title comes from a compilation CD I made over the summer for listening to while I walked home from summer school. The title of the CD came from one of the songs on it, Nowhere, by Beborn Beton. Look for that and maybe the rest of the CD in an upcoming menagerie. I’d say that the music is just as important to the summer as the LDJ schedule, fighting with R, talking Amy out of killing herself, Donnie Darko, and planning grandiose Operations.

The second part, well that’s not as “fun”. It’s kinda funny, really. I used to complain all the time over summer that it sucked, and yet here I am reminiscing about it being the good old days. Oh, but it was so much better than life post-Corpse Bride... The day I saw Corpse Bride, by the way, being the day that Amy started acting weird, which would eventually lead to her stopping talking to me, then starting again gor long enough to tell me she discovered she’s a lesbian, then disappearing again and apparently being willing to just let me slide out of her life without even saying goodbye. When I called her a couple weeks ago, I told her I’d sworn to win her heart back. I’d also called to see if she was still alive (quite worried about that, I was). Her response consisted of something along the lines of “Well, I’m alive”. I found out the next day from C that apparently Amy’s got a girlfriend. I feel like an ass for saying that since she’s got someone. I get the feeling it’s that slut Nicole. If that’s the case, I’ll have no problem trying to subtly tear them apart, I might even enjoy it. It’d be hard, yeah, but if anyone can do it, it’ll be me.

Third part of the title. Sometimes, I kinda feel like ‘im. Yeah, I don’t still have all my milk teeth like the real guy did But I think I’ve just about gotten the attitude right. (10:27 AM, p3 German III Honors, rm 714) Looking back over the last paragraph, I can’t help but notice a certain amount of arrogance. That’s good, definitely what I need right now. Anyway, the Peter Pan thing has to do with, well, oh Hell, you can figure it out.

Finally got the cover illustration for The Fallout Generation. It’s awesome. (1/25/06, 9:04 AM, same AlgII/Trig class) Well, as of today it’s been half a year since R dumped me. That aside, I’ve been going back and forth between the excessive confidence seen yesterday and a realization of the utter impossibility of what I was going on about yesterday. Anyone in the audience seen Chasing Amy? I feel kinda like that.

I finally saw Dogma last night. I don’t get what’s so great about it. It’s a decent movie and all, but it’s nowhere near as good as Smith’s other movies, like Clerks or Mallrats or Chasing Amy. Well, I still haven’t seen some of the others, like Drawing Flies, and Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back just sucked. Those two should be minor characters, like in the good movies mentioned there above.

So, yeah, robot wives... I dunno. If you read Megatokyo, it’s kinda like what Kimiko says about Ping when they’re repairing the store. Speaking of which, I wonder when book 4 is coming out, after all, chapters 5 and 6 are finished. I need to write more, especially the revision for the Fallout Gen ending. Also need to write more in The Night of Falling Stars, LGL, and that other thing which eludes me at the moment. And that’s where I’m cutting it off for the week.
