I read that Rumik
World was a bad selling series, but I can't see why, this is a good anime! I
thotoughly enjoyed it!
Now, first things first, Fire Tripper is mostly a fantasy/romance story, and if you
don't like things like it, you may not like Fire Tripper. There is some action, and some
blood and sword fights, and
some nudity, making this a 15 rated anime. Now most people about my age like
movies to have a bit of romance in them. I personally like it best when it's a action
packed storyline with romance in it,(Like Rowdy and Melaroon in Slayers: The Motion
Picture) or a romance developing during the movie and blossoming at the end. This is
an action packed story, but the whole thing is based on Shukumaru(Who looks suspiciously
like Link from the game The Legend of Zelda) and Suzuko's relationship.
The storyline is a good one, Suzuko is a young girl, but there's something strange about her: if she is exposed to a lot of fire, instead of being burned to death, she 'slips' into another time. I am not going to give away the storyline of this one because the story is the best part of it.
The dubbing is not
too good. Actually, it's quite bad. The english accents are good, they don't sound faked
or put on like in Heroic Legend of Arislan (I know because I'm English myself)
And I reacognised one of the actors (who did loads of character voices!) from an
English childrens cartoon, but the acting is bad and it has that thing where, say, it's a
little girl, but she doesn't sound like a little girl, she sounds like a grown woman
putting on a squeaky voice, if you get my drift...
