Mission 1: Act 2

Well, I finally got the next volume, and it's just as good as I had hoped for! Episode 3 reveals the secret behind Lady Flair, which you really have to have seen the first two episodes to understand.

The first epsiode(episode 3) starts off really well, the first thing you hear is Kei's loud voice "THIS IS THE FIFTH TIME YOU'VE TURNED ME AWAY! WHEN WILL YOU LET ME SEE WALDESS?!"... Which is shortly followed by Kei chasing after Waldess, who is heavily guarded... and then getting caught, of course. All this action, before the opening sequence! Later in the episode, Kei quits the 3WA @_@ and goes after Flair who is currently on an ice-ship on her own. There's a pretty funny scene when Waldess injects Kei with a truth syrum forcing her to tell them everything, and it makes her go all drugged up and woozy. Yuri wants revenge because Kei caused Yuri to miss a date and lose her boyfriend (he sends a message on a microchip which Yuri pretty much shatters) so she goes after Kei, but whilst trying to get into the ice-ship she causes the computer system to malfunction and the whole ship starts to fall apart. I'm not going to reveal any more because it would really spiol this one.

Episode 4 is really fun. Yuri has to question Dr. Kaps (Like she tried to in episode 3) who is currently on a machine which lets you escape into your fantasy world through sleep. However, switching the machine off could cause permanent damage to Kaps, so he only comes out of it when he wants to, the only other way to get him out is through Neural Intrusion - someone else is entered into Kaps' fantasy world and goes to find him to get him out. Yuri performs a Neural Intrusion on Kaps, and is taken to his fantasy world. Here, Kei is a warroir princess, and the world has been taken over by the "overlord"... that's right, it's a huse spoof of Urotsukidoji!! This episode really does make fun of a lot of things. There's mostly Urotsukidoji references here, but there's also a reference to Zelda-style videogames in there, and a few other things. There's also some pretty good action going on at the same time when Kei is trying to keep GCN out of the building, and pretty much blowing it up while doing so.

all in all, DPF still proves to be a great piece of anime, and I reccommend this if you've seen the first one, if not... watch the first one! ...Then watch this one!!
