| Seussical the Musical The J*Company's cast of young performers, hailing from El Cajon to Caralsbad, brings to life everyone's favorite Dr. Seuss charachters as they dance and sing in this Broadway-style musical, "Seussical." See it at 7p.m. today or 2p.m. tomorrow, Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center, Jacobs Family Campus, 4126 Executive Drive, La Jolla. Tickets cost $14 for members, $16 for nonmembers. I ended up finding it very entertaining. This show combines several Dr. Seuss stories into one bi story. The characters include The Cat in the Hat (Jesse Bradley), Horton the Elephant (Tim Roberts), Gertrude McFuzz |
| (Kari Campbell) and many more Dr. Seuss favorites. I thought that the cast and was great! All of had their parts nailed and did a great job singing. The dance moves were very well done, and the costumes were colorful and creative, too. The sets were also well done, especially the jungle scenes. I really enjoyed Jesse Bradley as The Cat, because he was a great singer, and he was funny. A few of my other favorites were: Horton, Gertrude, The Sour Kangaroo (Eboni Muse), and Jojo (Joe Metcalf). My inly problem with the show was that the story line was confusing. There was a lot going on at once, and some parts didn't make sense. Besides that, I really enjoyed the show. I think kids and adults will find "Seussical the Musical" a play worth seeing. |
