Hanka was married for a while to Ignacy (Igo) DEPSZTOK. During WWII Hanka "adopted" the identity Apolonia KRASMICKA or KRASNICKA. Later, Hanka married Henryk Pilichowski.
3 Brother Josef (Jurek), sister Haia (Halinka), half-sister Rivka (Roma) by her mother Cypa. Roma changed her family name to her mother's maiden name, JASTRZEBSKI when her mother re-married after the death of her previous husband. Roma later married Benjamin Wolman.
4 Possibly also known as Jzefa. Also called Brother (name unknown) emmigrated to England and may possibly have descendents named something like Nankin, 2
sisters (names unknown) emmigrated to Kansas City (in USA I think). There may have also been another brother.

6 Often spelt Klepfish. Lost 1st wife and 2 daughters during WWI. Brother Nissen, sisters Bajla (later married GOLDFLAM), Carola (married name unknown) & Sosza Charlotte (later married INGBERG).
7 Brother Moshe, sisters Sura/Sarah & Merla. Other siblings unknown. Had a child Rivka (Roma) by a previous marriage (see note 3 for more on Roma). There are relatives that also changed their names to JASUR.

This page has been produced in the hope of finding relatives - past or present. "Bare bones" family trees are shown for simplicity. We have a combined tree with many more connections and I welcome anyone that believes they know of a possible connection to e-mail (see details below). Again I ask, please, if none of these people are familiar, ask your relatives to have a look. (You may want to print off a copy of this page for them.)
I omitted my surname from the title because the spelling is misleading. My paternal grandfather's surname was HAKMAN but either at birth or when my father went into the Polish army, his name was spelt CHAKMAN and it stuck. In English this may seem strange but in Polish the family name was pronouced commencing with a guteral sound which could have been spelt either way. Add to that, under Russian influence the name may have even been spelled GAKMAN.
(CH/H/G) (A/E/I/O/U) (/C) KMAN (/N). If you can follow the options I have tried to show here, you will see there could be many spellings for essentially the same name (60 possibilities I'm guessing).
